STORYBOOK CHARMING BEACH COTTAGE ~TURN BACK TIME & RENEW YOUR CHILDHOOD DREAMS

Make new memories & savor the old time feel of Sanibel and Captiva Islands ~~  There is simply nothing like it in Florida!

Close your eyes: imagine yourself relaxing on a screened porch, while the grouper on the barbie sizzles. You are wearing cotton shorts and a blue tee-shirt. No shoes allowed! The smell of coconut oil is in the air. Small sandpipers are hunting for food right under your feet. A whipporwhill, who lives in a nearby tree, sings along to your soft music.  Sometimes a sea turtle's nest is roped off in the backyard. Sip some wine. Drink some herbal tea. Or a cup of java from The Coffee Bean on our island. Enjoy an afternoon of pure joy: That's Florida Best!  That's SANIBEL ISLAND!

No need to wonder what you should bring to the cottage for your long holiday: No guessing what you'll need. Simply pack nothing but your bathing suit and
flip-flops. We make certain you come to a very neat and clean beach cottage prepared just for you.

Rent a bicycle for a day, a week or a month  Pedal anywhere on the island for lunch or a few hours of exercise. Great bike path one lot away form our home. Jump on your bike and take off for a slow ride around the Island.

On Sunday afternoons, you can bike to a very unique Farmer's Market and fill your basket with bottles of fresh honey, organic fruits and veggies, bakery goods, cheeses and fish. Then you are either off to the beach for a picnic or back home to cook a fresh lunch or dinner. If you go fishing, BBQ your own catch or take it to Lazy Flamingo and they'll cook it for you!

Do you love the arts? Check out Big Arts Center.  Check programs at Sanibel Library or attend lecture or book discussion groups; drive, walk or bike the famous Ding Darling Nature Center; enjoy an array of restaurants and pubs; sports bars, (you must try NY Times author Randy Wayne White's namesake restaurant named after his main character in his books, Doc Ford. Look for Randy when you stop at the bar around 10 PM) There are outdoor cafes, jet skiing, fishing, boating.  Sanibel Island is the place for you. There is nothing like it in Florida!
